Format: DVD DVD Editorial Review
Shangri-La - Complete Series - S.A.V.E is an extraordinary anime that presents a captivating story set in a dystopian future plagued by global warming. The series, with its compelling characters and thematic depth, is reminiscent of titles like Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind. The S.A.V.E. Edition stands out as an impressive repackaging, offering both Parts 1 and 2 within a deluxe chipboard case, making it a fantastic value for fans who appreciate quality and aesthetics. Reviews praise its engaging storyline, complex characters like the rebellious Kuniko and the male cross-dresser Momoko, and the rich visual elements that contribute to its appeal among anime enthusiasts. A TV-MA rating suggests it's suitable for a mature audience but still accessible to younger viewers.
