Customer Questions & Answers
-
Question:
What is JENOLITE Rust Remover and how does it work?
Answer: JENOLITE Rust Remover is a fast-acting, no-drip thick liquid designed specifically for effectively removing rust from metal surfaces. Its industrial strength formula penetrates rust and oxidization, ensuring a thorough cleansing that brings the metal back to its bare state. By applying this product, you can restore items like tools, vehicles, and machinery, enhancing their lifespan and functionality. -
Question:
What types of surfaces can I use JENOLITE Rust Remover on?
Answer: You can use JENOLITE Rust Remover on various metal surfaces, including steel, iron, and aluminum. It's suitable for both indoor and outdoor applications, making it ideal for restoring garden tools, automotive parts, and machinery. Its thick, no-drip consistency prevents unnecessary mess while ensuring maximum adhesion and effectiveness on vertical surfaces. -
Question:
How should I apply JENOLITE Rust Remover for the best results?
Answer: For optimal results, clean the rusted area to remove loose debris before application. Use a brush or cloth to apply JENOLITE Rust Remover generously to the rusted surface. Allow it to sit for the recommended time to penetrate the rust then scrub or wipe it off. This method ensures thorough removal of rust, preparing the metal for repainting or further treatment. -
Question:
Is JENOLITE Rust Remover safe to use indoors?
Answer: Yes, JENOLITE Rust Remover is safe for indoor use, but ensure adequate ventilation when applying. While the product is designed for effective rust removal, it is recommended to use gloves and goggles to protect your skin and eyes. This precaution is particularly important when working with heavy-duty products. -
Question:
Will JENOLITE Rust Remover affect the metal’s finish?
Answer: JENOLITE Rust Remover is formulated to eliminate rust without damaging the underlying metal finish. However, it is essential to rinse off the product thoroughly after use to maintain the integrity of the surface. If used as directed, it will restore the underlying metal’s condition, making it ready for painting or sealing. -
Question:
How long does it take for JENOLITE Rust Remover to work?
Answer: The activation time for JENOLITE Rust Remover can vary depending on the thickness of the rust, but generally, it begins to work within minutes. For larger rust deposits, allowing it to sit for up to an hour can yield the best results. This gives the formula enough time to penetrate and break down rust effectively. -
Question:
Can JENOLITE Rust Remover be used on painted surfaces?
Answer: JENOLITE Rust Remover is primarily designed for bare metal; however, it can be used on painted surfaces that have rust. It’s advisable to test the remover on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure it doesn’t adversely affect the paint. When used cautiously, it can remove rust while preserving most paint finishes. -
Question:
How do I store JENOLITE Rust Remover after use?
Answer: To ensure the longevity of JENOLITE Rust Remover, store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme heat. Make sure the cap is tightly sealed to prevent any evaporation or contamination. Proper storage extends its effectiveness for future use, making it a reliable solution when you encounter rust again. -
Question:
Can I use JENOLITE Rust Remover on automotive parts?
Answer: Absolutely! JENOLITE Rust Remover is ideal for automotive parts, helping remove rust from components like frames, bodywork, and tools.
